I have been writing cross stitch books since 1987 when my first title 'Cross Stitch Castles and Cottages' was first published by David & Charles. The art of combining my scribbling with the work of the CSG has sometimes left me gasping for air, but on the whole, it has been a wonderful experience. Seeing your first book in print is the most exciting thing - Did you know a copy of a published book is kept at the British Library for ever?

The Cross Stitcher's Bible

The original version of the Cross Stitcher's Bible was my 19th book and was translated in to 10 languages including Russion and Chinese - so exciting to see the book in another language. The New Cross Stitcher's Bible was published in 2007, has a covered spiral binding and is even more comprehensive.

We filmed this extraordinary series of stitching programmes at a cross stitch show at Olympia and at my home here in Fairford. The filming at Pinks Barn was not finshed until 3am the following day so If I fluffed my lines anywhere please do not be too hard on me!
